The year 2006 marked the end of the 2003 initiated process of consolidation, refurbishment and equipment of “Diaconia” House (budget of 2.500.000 RON). This was a joint effort of the Diocesan Centre of Iasi, the Ministry of Labor, Social Solidarity and Family, the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs, German and Swiss partners (FAPAR, “Lazarus” and “Bavaria” Foundations). The “Solidarity and Hope” Foundation has also provided its own input.
The “Diaconia” House is a 1500 sq m 3 levels building with many facilities including a kitchen with professional appliances, two dining halls, a six person elevator, access for the disabled, library, computer room, conference room (50 people), parking lot, etc.;
The “Diaconia” Social Charitable Institute comprises:

Starting February 2005, the nearby church of “St. Sava” (XVIth century monument), is also the chapel of “Diaconia” Social-Charitable Institute.
While still a parish church, this sacred place also hosts during the week many of the social assistance activities of the Institute.
